West Coast Region (Roseville, California) – Hong Ik Martial Arts October Black Belt Test
In October 2026, Hong Ik Martial Arts Roseville held its 3rd biannual Black Belt test. The Theory test (written and oral) took place on September 26th, the Outdoor Test (running and meditation) on October 10th, and the Indoor test (poomsae, kwon Beob, sparring, kyukpa, target drills, dummy drills, and yeondan) on October 17th.
Two candidates prepared diligently for their Il Dan (1st degree black belt), which included three special practice sessions. Throughout this journey, they applied the Hong Ik principles of humility, perseverance, and more. The results will be announced soon.
Regardless of the outcome, we would like to give a big round of applause to the candidates for their time, energy, and sincerity, as well as to their parents for their steadfast support.
