Revitalizing Lung and Heart

Dear Students and Friends
As we navigate through this pandemic, optimizing our health condition is more important than ever.

We invite you to revisit the below lecture on Revitalizing Lung and Heart, which are both part of our shade (Um) side meridian channels. If our lung condition is poor it is difficult to generate energy from our body cells (which rely on oxygen and sugar). If our heart condition is poor, this will be detrimental to blood circulation and makes us more prone to illness.

Two simple exercises can be highly beneficial if practiced up to three times per day:

  1. finger/arm sweeping exercise, activating the lung channel
  2. stretching/expansion of upper chest from a sitting position, activating the heart channel

During exercise #1 place emphasis on sensing the energy flow through your upper chest, shoulders, biceps, forearms, palms and

thumbs.

During exercise #2 place emphasis on sensing the energy flow through your armpits, inside part of the elbows, forearms, Jang Shim (center of palms – heat sensation) and pinky fingers.

We encourage you to give these a try by carefully following Grand Master Yoo’s guidance throughout the video:
