New Year Greeting from Grandmaster Yoo

Dear HIMA Students, Families, and Friends: 

As we enter into a new year, I extend my warmest greetings to each of you. I would like to  express my sincere gratitude for your unwavering support throughout 2025. Every achievement  we celebrated this year was made possible because of your dedication, encouragement, and  trust. It would have been impossible to accomplish our 2025 goals successfully without your  support.

HIMA World Organization Activities 

In 2025, HIMA World Organization started its mission as a nonprofit dedicated to service and  community enrichment. Key activities included: 

 

  • Sponsoring the Susa/Musa Heartwarming Party 
  • Sponsoring the 2025 HIMAF at Irvington High School 
  • Servicing the Brightview Senior Home in Tarrytown with Taichi Qigong classes Introducing and expanding resources through HIMA World Organization 

 

We are also excited to announce yet another new HIMA Location: Hong Ik Martial Arts of  Renton, WA, which opened on January 3rd, 2026. This is our 8th HIMA branch, led by Master  Jeonbin Lim. Some of you may recall his stay at our Tarrytown location during 2018-2020.  Master Lim’s background and experience includes: 

  • 4th degree black belt – Taekwondo 
  • Traditional Taekwondo training in Korea through 4th degree 
  • In-depth understanding of Hong Ik Martial Arts principles
