Hong Ik Martial Arts of New Rochelle: Special Class with Grandmaster Yoo

Special Class Featuring Grand Master Yoo

HIMA New Rochelle

August 3rd, 2025

Hong Ik Martial Arts of New Rochelle was fortunate to have Grand Master Yoo visit August 3rd, 2025. Certain students were invited to this special event based on any support of HIMAF, if they made an effort to improve their belt tying, performed HIMAC well, and had consistent attendance in the month of July.

Jung Choong, Ki Jaang, Shin Myung are the founding principles of HIMA. The curriculum study guides for all belts direct each individual towards an altruistic path of wisdom. Hong Ik In Gan means to widely spread benefits to humanity. By learning how to accumulate physical vitality, that person can better handle adversity in their own life. Furthermore, they become influential to others around them. If they start at a young age, they have more time to pass on the well-being they cultivate in their own practice.

Ji Do Ja Nim’s creation of all the belt study material, sharing his Qi Gong/Meditation, and physical training have given HIMA students much to work with in order to experience illumination within themselves. The student, though, still must do the work on their own. But the presence of a Master can be of great help in cutting through distractions (thoughts/activities) that will not serve us in the long run.

Grand Master Yoo, JM, in addition to teaching class, treated all participants to Sword Qi Gong, UnKiBoHyung, and Freestyle DahnMuHyung. Through this, he communicated unique blessing and inspiration to be steadfast in the Discipline of Transcendence. I hope we can all generate vigorous energy enough so that we ascend to higher consciousness. Then by becoming released from unnecessary suffering, we can be infused with the power of Mother Nature to help other individuals brighten and build a harmonious/benevolent world.
