1st Promotion Test – Hong Ik Martial Arts of Renton

Renton, WA — On Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM, Hong Ik Martial Arts of Renton held its first promotion test, celebrating the dedication and progress of its students.

Since opening on February 2, the school has offered consistent classes for more than three months, building a strong foundation of training and community. This inaugural test provided a meaningful opportunity for students to demonstrate the results of their steady practice.

All candidates were white belts who demonstrated a clear understanding of the school’s White Belt Principle and showed excellent focus throughout the evaluation. During the test, students performed basic punches, kicks, and their form (basic blocking) with confidence. In the final part of the test, each candidate successfully completed a board break, earning loud applause from the audience.

This first promotion test marks an important milestone for both the students and Hong Ik Martial Arts of Renton, setting the stage for continued growth and achievement in their martial arts journey.
