19th U.S. Hong Ik Taekwondo Championship March 14, 2026 | Hong Ik Martial Arts of Tarrytown

On Saturday, March 14, 2026, eight students from Hong Ik Martial Arts Tarrytown and New Rochelle participated in the 19th U.S. Hong Ik Tae Kwon Do Championship. This tournament is organized by Master Kim’s Tiger Tae Kwon Do School and took place at Queens College.

It was all of these students’ first time attending this championship, which added another layer of anticipation to pre-competition nerves. These students competed in all divisions throughout the morning and afternoon: form, board breaking, and sparring. All had trained hard in classes, weekly practice sessions, and outside of the dojang. Their hard work showed! Even when students faced challenges in the ring, whether it was a mistake in their poomse or distractions from another ring, they kept positive mindsets and gave their best efforts.

We are very proud of all of these students for embracing this new opportunity and for all of their energy, dedication, and hard work.
